Loewe has opened a new store in the heart of Miami’s Bal Harbour Shops. The 2,077-square-foot (193 m2) space showcases Loewe’s exquisite selection of women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, sunglasses and accessories, inviting customers into a world of refined elegance and artisanal craftsmanship.
Creative director Jonathan Anderson’s vision is brought to life through the store’s Casa Loewe concept, which seamlessly blends the sophistication of a high-end boutique with the warmth and intimacy of an art collector’s home. The exterior facade, adorned with handmade and enameled ceramic tiles in a vibrant Miami-inspired palette of green, aquamarine and coral, creates a mesmerizing interplay of light and color that draws passersby into the store’s inviting atmosphere.
Inside, the store’s interior is a symphony of carefully curated materials and furnishings. Poured concrete, veined marble, oak, brass and wrought iron fixtures harmonize to create a space that is both modern and timeless. Iconic pieces of furniture, such as Gerrit Thomas Rietveld’s Utrecht armchairs and Berin Club chairs upholstered in custom felt, provide a comfortable and stylish respite for shoppers.
Loewe’s signature design elements, including iron martini tables, marble podiums, a low black terrazzo table and a tufted leather puffer bench, are thoughtfully placed throughout the store, showcasing the brand’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship. Isamu Noguchi’s ethereal Akari E Hanging Lamp floats gracefully from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the space, while artisanal rugs reproducing the whimsical tapestries of British textile artist John Allen add a touch of playfulness to the refined atmosphere.
The Bal Harbour store also serves as a gallery for Loewe‘s global anthology of art, craft and design. Hand-selected pieces by renowned artists adorn the walls, each carefully chosen to complement the store’s aesthetic. British artist Nicholas Byrne’s large-scale oil on copper works explore movement and color, while American painter Jennifer Packer’s still life of a blue-tinted bouquet evokes a sense of somber beauty. Italian multi-media artist Enrico David’s tactile sculpture of willow, wheat, and lavender adds an organic, human element to the space.
