After announcing their collaboration via a teaser on social media last weekend, the two partners have officially unveiled their collaborative collection, which is set for release tomorrow.
The collection features Palace’s bold and irreverent aesthetic applied to iconic Calvin Klein pieces that have made the American brand famous, including jeans, t-shirts and fleeces, as well as men’s and women’s underwear, a first for Palace. In addition to these pieces, there is a line of headwear, a co-branded skateboard and a new CK One fragrance. The latter, unisex, has been revisited with notes of “Frosted Mandarin”, “Violet Leaf” and “Oakmoss”.
Calvin Klein’s archetypal color palette coordinates the entire capsule with shades of black, gray and white joined by touches of “Wheat” and “Quarry” as well as a bright light beige.
Pieces are of course marked with a new and personalized logo which is in fact a union between Palace’s Tri-Ferg logo and Calvin Klein’s.
To mark the release of this collaboration, the two partners called on the famous photographer Alasdair McLellan to shoot a campaign inspired by their respective hometowns: New York for Calvin Klein and London for Palace.
The campaign features a five-star cast ranging from Palace skateboarders Lucien Clarke and Charlie Birch to Hollywood royalty including Willem Dafoe and Joan Collins, as well as the famous London band Pet Shop Boys, British model Adwoa Aboah, model Precious Lee, rapper Unknown T and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon.
