Inspired by Chapter 1 of Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, which explores the unexpected beauty born from the duality of organic and synthetic elements, the Y-3 S-Gendo Run boldly experiments with negative space and height. The hollow plate design pays homage to the Japanese concept of “Ma,” where empty space creates deeper meaning and form, embodying the defiant spirit of the contra-natural theme.

A masterpiece of innovation and comfort, the Y-3 S-Gendo Run combines the advanced midsole technologies of adidas’ latest running models with the aesthetic heritage of the brand’s archival sneakers. Sport-inspired breathable mesh, suede and leather uppers sit atop a Lightstrike midsole and a hollow Pebax® plate with an injected EVA element, resulting in a strikingly bold silhouette.
